About
The Full Story
I am a UK born counsellor, shaped by a childhood spent partly in Canada and years of travelling that opened my eyes to the many ways people live and feel. Growing up as a carer for my siblings with additional needs taught me to notice life’s quiet details, the small strengths, the tricky moments, and the humour that often appears when we least expect it. I bring all of this into my work, a down to earth, attentive presence, a sense of warmth, and a touch of humour. And yes, there is always a cuppa on offer.
I offer one to one counselling for adults, using an integrative, trauma informed approach that is shaped by your story. Sessions may carry lightness and laughter, or sit with the more painful and challenging parts of life. All parts are welcome, and everything we explore is guided by what feels most meaningful and supportive for you.
My work is flexible, responsive, and adapted to the ways you think, feel, and make sense of the world. Clients often tell me they love the cosy, chalet style feel of my therapy space, which feels homely and unpressured, making it easier to arrive as you are.
I am passionate about continual learning and professional development, attending regular CPD training to bring new insights and approaches into my practice. Alongside my individual work, I am training as a couples counsellor and will begin offering couples counselling in 2026. This experience already informs my understanding of relationships, patterns, and connection in individual therapy.
Rooted in Somerset, I work with clients locally and online as well as supporting a local charity, reflecting my belief in care, connection, and growth, both within therapy and in the wider community.
